The video states that if neither option is selected then this goes down as missed can this be made mandatory that one must be selected

Lloyd Robson: Hi Lloyd, thanks for your comments. So as I understand it is more about making that selecting one of the 2 options mandatory. I have edited a bit the request based on that. Thanks again!

basically our carer will tick not given but i expect that a reason code to tell me the reason why the system allows them to just accept not given without a reason which is what i was asking can the reason code be set as a mandatory field

Lloyd Robson: Carers are required to select one of the reason codes for Not given medication. This step is mandatory in order to make a not given report. You can see how it works here: https://www.loom.com/share/21c80abaeb114c9eac9c5f826cd6f5d4?sid=3f04ba7f-7a72-4b65-a417-6323a6811def
If you have one example where the medication is being marked as not given with no reason code you can share it with us in the chat so we can investigate what may have happened.

Hi Lloyd Robson reason codes for Not given medication are mandatory. Carers cannot skip this part of the not given medication report. If carers are not selecting any of the 2 options then the report will come up as Missed. That's why it is important carers always select one of the 2 options either Given or Not Given (with a reason)
