I would like to be able to order the tasks

I would like to add tasks in a certain order, it makes no sense to have them in alphabetical order. They should show up in the visit instructions in the order they are added from the task list. This isnt always the same way around for each visit . this would make things easier for our care staff and would be less likely to miss doing a task

Hei Claire Johnson! 👋
Got it — you want tasks to show in a
custom order
(the order you add them), not alphabetical, because that’s not how care actually happens on a visit. Makes total sense.Just so I’m 100% clear, is your ideal setup this?
- ✅ For each visit, you can set the task order (and it can be different visit-to-visit).
- ✅ The task list in visit instructionsshows in that same order.
- ✅ This helps carers follow the flow and not miss anything.
A couple of quick Qs so I understand the exact pain:
- Where are you seeing the alphabetical order right now — in the carer app visit instructions, theoffice schedule, or both?
- When you say “order they are added from the task list”… do you mean:
- the order you tick/select tasks onto a visit, or
- the order tasks appear in your master task list (admin setup), or
- something else?
- Do you need carers to be able to reorder tasks themselvesduring the visit? Or should only office/admin users control the order?
- Would a simple drag + dropordering be the easiest way for your team? (That’s what a lot of care teams prefer 👍)
Good practice tip (what some other teams do):
- They order tasks to match the real “walkthrough” of the visit (e.g. meds first, then personal care, then meal, then notes).
- It reduces missed steps, esp. on double-up calls or when someone is covering a route.
If you can share 1–2 example visits (like “morning call” vs “lunch call”) and the task order you’d want for each, I can map exactly what you mean. Kiitos / Thanks! 🙂
