Service users to be able to have an app.

At the moment the carers get the app but the service users and families need to log in online which is very confusing for our service users they struggle to find their way around the internet and are always asking why we don't have an app for them. An app would be much easier for them to view their times and care staff attending minimising stress and anxiety and calls to the oncall service. If this is possible we would be grateful :)

Hiya Stephanie Ralph, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific features or information would the service users and families like to access through the app?
- How frequently do service users and families need to access the app, and for what primary purposes?
- Are there any specific accessibility features that would be important for the service users and families in the app?

Simo HännikkäläThank you for getting back to me, We frequently get asked by our service users why they don't have an app like their carers do, as they struggle to log in to the online family portal. They would like to be able to use an app to see their times and what carers will be attending etc. A lot of our service users would like to use the app daily so it can prevent anxiety of wondering when and which carers are coming.
Does that make sense? :)
Thanks

Make a Parent portal app rather than web page for mobile use!

Feed back from Parents using the Parent portal is : it is difficult. Looks terrible on a mobile so rather just ring the office. !!
This is not good for my team and adds work to the team.
Solution: Please can parents / Professionals have access to an APP like the carer app which enables them to commuicate with the team, ,leaving notes where necessary enabling push notifications. Allowing highlight changes to meds and care plan. Additionally so they can see thier calendar like carers can !
Make it easier for parents and professionals who already busy and incredible stressed.

Parent Portal

I have spoken to Parents re the Client Portal to see the care plan and Emar and Visit Diary and notes. They do not enjoy using it as a web based page rather than an app. They have requested that they can see the portal like the carers can. They find it very difficult to use on a mobile phone and many do not have tablets or computer esp when caring for their children in hospital. Can this be developed
