Collapse hours on overlapping visits

If staff check in to a visit and then the client sends them away early/cancels/isn't home, we send them elsewhere. Is it possible to have the hours collapsed - currently it calculates total hours based on visits even if two occur in the same time period.

Scheduling view shows cancelled visits as part of the work scheduled for the carer. If the cancelled hours would get excluded from that calculation, would that solve the issue?
