Change the date filter to the same as the visits date filter or at least add an option to filter by last month.
Add a filter to allow the user to select the Carer/Client.
The following would also be useful;
When creating an absence, make the absence description a drop down that can be populated in settings with the organisation's preferred types of absence descriptions, similar to how invoice contacts work. Then add a filter for absence descriptions in the absence report as well.

Is there a way of staff absences being calculated on nurse buddy to avoid having to count up individual absents to get a Bradford Score

It's too messy to have this field as free text. It makes the report very unwieldy because you can use In Hospital, Client in Hospital, Admitted to Hospital etc.

A customer would like to have a list of customizable options they can quickly choose from to create an absence or an event to a carer's calendar.
Many of these typically repeat often so it would help keep them consistent for reporting.
Their list of examples:
Holiday, Office time, Training (Paid), Induction Training (Unpaid), Shadowing, Authorised Absence, Unauthorised Absence, Off Sick, Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Supervision, Appraisal, Other - Office meetings
