Ability to make a report of minimum visits required during emergency situations/RCB weather alerts
Alicja from Newlands Care Angus
A tool to help coordinators quickly view and track the minimum visits required for service users during severe weather or emergencies, and generate a compliance report.
This would work similarly to the existing “Address List in Visit Notes” function but with a filter to show only essential visit requirements. These requirements (e.g., only Morning and Bed visit required) could be stored in a dedicated field within each client’s profile. During emergencies, coordinators could access this list to see all relevant clients at a glance, rather than checking each profile individually.
This would make it easier to prioritise visits, save time during high-pressure situations, and ensure essential care is never missed.

Hiya Alicja from Newlands Care Angus, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific criteria should be used to determine which visits are considered 'essential' during emergencies?
- How frequently do these emergency situations occur, and how quickly does the report need to be generated?
- Are there any specific compliance standards or regulations that the report needs to adhere to?

Hi, thanks for reading my request Simo Hännikkälä
- Our care managers assess it with the council/family and it just depends (mostly on health issues or living alone).
- It happens few times a year, mostly during strong winds, storms and snow on the road. Best would be, if it got generated like any other report, just to select that category and get it right instant. We've got 3 areas that need changing as soon as possible, when we get into that kind of situation.
- It is stated in few of them we mostly worked with "The Management of Health and Safety Work Regulations 1999", but there is also the "Adverse Weather and Health Plan (AWHP)"
Thank you
